2 Days 1 Night Komodo Cruise Liveaboard
The Most Popular Liveaboard Experience from Labuan Bajo
Tour Description
Komodo Tour 2 Days 1 Night is the most popular tour choice in Labuan Bajo, and for good reason. It is the perfect balance between time, comfort, and experience. A one-day trip can feel rushed and you miss the best part of Komodo, spending the evening on the sea. A 3D2N or 4D3N liveaboard can be incredible, but not everyone has the time. With 2D1N, you get a complete Komodo journey in a short, efficient schedule, including trekking, snorkeling, sunset moments, and an overnight stay on a boat.
This liveaboard tour is designed to give you everything you need to explore Komodo National Park in a smooth and enjoyable way. You will visit scenic islands, snorkel in clear water, and trek with rangers to see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. The highlight for many guests is the overnight experience, falling asleep on the boat, waking up to the ocean, and starting the day with a sunrise trek.
You can join this trip as a Private Tour or an Open Trip:
Private Tour: best for couples, families, and groups who want maximum comfort, privacy, and flexibility. You will not share the boat with other travelers.
Open Trip: a more budget-friendly option where you share the boat with other guests. It is a great choice if you want to save costs and still enjoy the full Komodo experience.
You can also choose the boat style that fits your travel vibe:
Superior (Budget-Friendly): simple, clean, and practical. Great value for money.
Deluxe (Comfort Upgrade): more comfortable cabins and a better onboard atmosphere, still within a reasonable budget.
Luxury (Premium Experience): the highest level of comfort, service, and facilities for travelers who want a more exclusive feel.
No matter which style you choose, our priority is always the same: clear information, safe operations, and a memorable Komodo journey.
2) Tour Itinerary
Every boat may have slightly different timing, meeting points, and route order depending on sea conditions, regulations, and boat operations. For the most accurate schedule, you should choose your boat first. However, below is the most common 2D1N itinerary used by many operators in Labuan Bajo
Day 01: Labuan Bajo – Kelor Island – Manjarite – Rinca Island – Kalong Island (Lunch, Dinner)
09:30 – 10:15 Pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Labuan Bajo, then transfer to the harbor.
Board the boat and begin your sailing journey.
Kelor Island
Your first stop is Kelor Island for light trekking and snorkeling. The short hike offers a beautiful viewpoint, and the water is great for a first swim.
Manjarite (Majarinte) Island
Next, continue to Manjarite for snorkeling in clear water. This spot is known for an easy, enjoyable snorkel session and beautiful sea colors.
Rinca Island
After snorkeling, sail to Rinca Island for a ranger-guided trek. This is one of the best places to see Komodo dragons and other wildlife such as deer, wild boar, monkeys, and water buffalo. Rangers will guide you for safety and to protect the animals’ natural behavior.
Kalong Island (Bat Island)
In the late afternoon, the boat continues to Kalong Island. This is a peaceful sunset stop where you can watch thousands of flying foxes (fruit bats) leaving the mangroves as the sky turns golden.
Dinner & Overnight on the Boat
Dinner is served on board, and you will sleep overnight on the boat.
Day 02: Padar Island – Komodo Island – Pink Beach – Manta Point – Labuan Bajo (Breakfast, Lunch)
06:00 Early morning trek at Padar Island.
This is one of the most iconic viewpoints in Indonesia. The hike can be steep in sections, but it is worth it. You return to the boat around 08:30 (timing may vary depending on pace and crowd levels).
Komodo Island
Next, sail to Komodo Island for another ranger-guided walk to see Komodo dragons and other wildlife. This is a different landscape compared to Rinca and gives you a deeper perspective of the park.
Pink Beach
After Komodo Island, continue to Pink Beach. Lunch is served on board. Pink Beach is a beautiful place to relax, swim, and snorkel. The water is often clear, and the beach is known for its unique pink-toned sand.
Manta Point (Karang Makassar)
After Pink Beach, stop at Manta Point for snorkeling. This is one of the most famous places in the park to spot manta rays. Sightings depend on conditions and timing, but this is the best-known manta zone for many tours.
Return to Labuan Bajo
Arrive back in Labuan Bajo and transfer to your hotel. Tour ends.
Important note: The itinerary may change due to weather, sea conditions, safety considerations, or park regulations. A responsible crew will always prioritize safe routing.
