One Day Tour Komodo By Speed Boat
The Fastest Way to See Komodo’s Top Highlights in One Day
Tour Description
A One Day Komodo Tour by Speed Boat is the best option if you want to explore Komodo National Park but you only have one free day in Labuan Bajo. This tour is designed to be efficient, comfortable, and packed with highlights, combining island trekking and snorkeling across some of the park’s most famous destinations.
Unlike liveaboard trips where you sleep on the boat, this is a full-day adventure that starts early and returns to Labuan Bajo in the afternoon. It is perfect for travelers who want a complete Komodo taste without staying overnight. You will still experience the iconic viewpoint at Padar, meet Komodo dragons with rangers on Komodo Island, and enjoy the marine side of the park at Pink Beach, Manta Point, Taka Makassar, and Siaba Island.
This tour usually operates daily from Labuan Bajo and is available in two styles:
Sharing Trip (Open Trip): more budget-friendly. You share the speedboat with other guests.
Private Trip: more flexible timing and a more exclusive experience, available on request.
Pricing for the One Day Komodo Tour by Speed Boat can vary depending on the speedboat type, size, and onboard facilities. In general, the bigger the boat and the more participants in a sharing trip, the lower the cost per person can be, because the total operational cost is split across more guests.
As a guideline:
Sharing speedboat trips typically range from IDR 750,000 to IDR 1,500,000 per person, depending on boat category, inclusions, and season.
Private speedboat charters usually range from IDR 7,500,000 to IDR 25,000,000 per boat, depending on the boat’s capacity, comfort level, and service standard.
Please select your preferred speedboat to view the full price details and the tour program that best matches your travel style. Each boat has its own facilities and setup, so choosing your speedboat first is the easiest way to see the most accurate itinerary, inclusions, and final cost for your date.

2) Common Tour Itinerary
Boat schedules and route order can vary due to sea conditions and crowd management, but below is a common outline for a one-day speedboat program.
Labuan Bajo – Padar Island – Pink Beach (Long Beach) – Komodo Island – Manta Point – Taka Makassar – Siaba Island – Labuan Bajo
Early pick-up from hotels around Labuan Bajo, then transfer to the port and check-in.
Speedboat to Padar Island (often described as around 90 minutes by boat). Trek to the viewpoint and enjoy the famous bay panorama.
Continue to Long Beach / Pink Beach area (often listed as a beach stop with reddish or pink-toned sand). Time for swimming, relaxing, and light snorkeling depending on conditions.
Head to Komodo Island for a ranger-guided walk to see Komodo dragons and other wild animals. Many itineraries estimate around 2 hours for this visit.
Lunch is commonly provided as a lunch box on this day trip.
Stop at Manta Point for snorkeling with the chance to see manta rays. Because currents can be strong, guides often keep the group close and recommend wearing a life jacket.
Continue to Taka Makassar, a small sandbar stop for relaxing, photos, and a short swim.
Final snorkeling stop at Siaba Island (Turtle Point), known for turtle chances and colorful reef scenes.
Return to Labuan Bajo port, then transfer back to your hotel.
Komodotour.id note: this tour is a full day with an early start. The reason is simple. The earlier you begin, the better your chances of enjoying Padar and Komodo Island at a comfortable pace before the afternoon conditions change.
